800 series encoders in stainless steel

In salty and humid environments, or where aggressive chemicals may be present, you need to select components that are resistant to corrosion. Individual components such as encoders need to be carefully selected. When working within a marine, off-shore or near a salt-water environment, you may even need to select the appropriate grade of stainless steel.

During 2020, one of our customers needed encoders for speed feedback in an elevator at a mine. Leine Linde designed a stainless steel encoder using AISI316L (1.4404) grade steel, functionally compatible with our incremental 861 and dual 865 models. This model is now available for all customers to use in applications where corrosion is otherwise a risk. If another encoder model better fits your specification, it too can be developed in similar stainless steel materials.

Contact your nearest Leine Linde sales office to discuss the specific requirements for your current or planned projects. Contact us as early as possible in the project to ensure that your timeline and specification can be met.
